Questions, answered
How do I add friends to a group?
Share your group's invite link, or add people by email. They install Splitup, tap the link, and they're in. Joining is always free.
How does voice input work?
Tap the mic and say something like “Dinner 1200, split equally between Alex and me.” Splitup fills in the amount, title, who paid, the date and the split, then you review and save. Voice input is currently English-only.
Does it really work without internet?
Yes. Add expenses and payments with no signal at all. Balances update instantly on your device and everything syncs automatically the next time you're online.
How are expenses split?
Equally by default, and you can switch any expense to exact amounts, percentages or shares. A single expense can also have more than one payer.
Is there a subscription?
No, never. You can create one group and join unlimited groups for free. If you need to create more, you buy a one-time pack of 1, 5 or unlimited groups. Pay once and keep it. Every feature is included in every group either way. Splitup Business isn't a subscription either: it's a prepaid 12-month group allowance, invoiced once, with no recurring charge and no auto-renewal.
Can I use Splitup for my business?
Yes. The free plan and group packs are for personal, non-commercial use. Organizations that create groups for clients, like tour operators and event planners, should use Splitup Business.
What counts as a group on Business?
Each group you create within your 12 months, including groups you later archive or delete. Joining a group never counts.
Do my customers pay?
No. Anyone you invite joins free, always.
Can I get an invoice?
Yes, on request for Business. Personal packs are bought through the App Store or Google Play, which send you their own receipt.
Is my data secure?
Sign-in is Google and Apple only, so there's no extra password to manage. We don't store any payment information. All settlements happen outside the app. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings in the app and tap “Delete Account”. Still stuck? Email us at tappstudio.in@gmail.com.
